Govt Hospitals Turn Death Traps In AP's Medical Hub
18 Dec 2018 1:45 PM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has promoted the state a Medical Hub. In the reality, the health care sector was completely neglected. The poor infrastructure facilities in Guntur Government Hospital(GGH) are claiming many patients lives admitted for treatment in the intensive care units also.
The fresh case of a woman patient's death for the lack of proper medical treatment in timely exposed the state government's indifference towards strengthening medical facilities in the government hospital.
Doctors in the GGH were least bothered about the survival of patients. Poor infrastructure was also one of the main reasons for not extending required medical treatment to the patients admitted in the hospital.
It was the same hospital where just born infant was bitten by Rats and the doctors performed surgery by using mobile lights due to severe power cut. Many patients died outside the hospital for not receiving treatment in timely in the previous years.
