YSRC to hold rythu dharnas on June 25: June 22

Hyderabad, June 22: YSR Congress Party would organise rythu dharna’s across the State on June 25 to highlight the failures of the State government in addressing the farmers’ issues for khariff season.
“We will organiSe rythu dharnas at all assembly constituencies demanding proper supply of seeds and fertilizers to farmers and increase of input subsidy,” the party Central Governing Council (CGC) members T Kavitha and J Krishna Murthy told reporters here on Friday.
The CGC in its meeting had taken note of the failure of State Government in handling the issue and resolved to express its protest by holding rythu dharnas, they said.
The Party would also take the deep-rooted conspiracy behind the arrest of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the way the case is being handled and will write to the President, Prime Minister and other high offices as we fear his life is under threat, they said.
The meeting also reviewed the by-poll results and found that TDP and Congress worked in tandem at Ramachandrapuram, Narsapuram and Parakal and sacrificed their votes and lost deposits to defeat YSRC.
A membership drive would be taken up to strengthen the party and its organisational structure, they said.
On President’s elections, they said, the CGC has discussed and left the decision to the leadership. (EOM)
