*TDP leader Gudapati Srinivasa Rao joins YSRCP*

Tadepalli, August 4: In a major political development in Repalle Assembly constituency, prominent TDP and senior Kapu leader Gudapati Srinivasa Rao joined the YSR Congress Party along with his followers on Tuesday.

Srinivasa Rao, a close associate of Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, arrived at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli with hundreds of supporters and joined the party in the presence of former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. YS Jagan draped the party scarf around him and formally welcomed him and his followers into the YSRCP family.

Welcoming the new entrants, YS Jagan said he was happy that Gudapati Srinivasa Rao, popularly known as GS Anna, and his associates had joined the party. He assured Srinivasa Rao that he would be given due respect and said his experience and leadership would contribute significantly to strengthening the party.

YS Jagan urged Srinivasa Rao and his supporters to work closely with Repalle constituency YSRCP in-charge Peeta Naga Mohana Krishna, treating him as a younger brother, and make united efforts to secure victory in the next election. He expressed confidence that Srinivasa Rao’s entry would considerably strengthen the YSRCP in Repalle, particularly in the town.

Former Ministers Ambati Rambabu and Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani), MP Midhun Reddy, Merugu Nagarjuna, MLC Lella Appi Reddy, Ambati Murali, Nandigama Suresh, Repalle constituency in-charge Peeta Naga Mohana Krishna, senior party leaders, cadres and a large number of supporters participated in the programme.
