YSRCP questions Naidu’s silence over CBI

Press release

Hyderabad, May 6, 2013: Faulting the silence of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu over the Congress-led UPA Government misusing the CBI to its political advantage as exposed by the agency’s affidavits in coal scam, the YSRCP on Monday charged him of being hand in glove with the Congress for avoiding CBI probe into the allegations he was facing.

Addressing media persons at the party headquarters here, YSRCP MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the Central Bureau of Investigation seems to have transformed into Chandrababu Naidu Investigation.

“Why is there no reaction from Naidu when the CBI director Ranjit Sinha himself said its status report on the coal scam investigation has been vetted by the Law Minister, Additional Solicitor General and the PMO officials?” he asked.

Karunakara Reddy said the TDP will also go the way of PRP by deriving all kinds of benefits from the Congress. The main motive for Naidu is to escape investigation into the allegations he is facing, he said.

While welcoming the installation of NTR statue in the parliament, Karunakar demanded that the statue of the most popular leader YSR also be installed in the parliament.
