*Chandrababu’s BC quota, a political gimmick*

Tadepalli, Oct 1: YSRCP has affirmed that Chandrababu’s deceptive game is exposed once again with the coalition stating that BCs would be given 34 per cent reservations.  

Speaking to media leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayan and other leaders said, Chandrababu’s game plan exposed and as is his wont he is out to cheat BCs in the name of 34 per cent reservation despite the apex court ruling that reservations should not exceed 50 percent is in force. 

Despite knowing for certain that the reservations cannot exceed 50 percent and announcing 34 percent reservations to BCs is a political gimmick ahead of the local body elections only to cheat BCs as he had done earlier.  

There is no way that the apex court ruling cannot be ignored, he said and Chandrababu’s statements are backed only by political motive and trying to promise what is not possible. 

His statement on getting the reservations for BCs is just a drama as it can be done only with an amendment to the Constitution. With the NDA government being at the helm in the State and Centre, why not they bring in an amendment bill. 

YSRCP challenged the coalition government to move an amendment to the Constitution in the Parliament and finalise the reservation issue, failing which it will only be cheating the BCs in the name of 34 percent quota. 

The GOs issued are mere eyewash and it does not stand the legal scrutiny and he has been wontedly doing it for political gains as the same will be challenged in a court which will stick to the apex court decision. 

It was YSRCP which has empowered BCs politically, socially and economically as the 34 per cent quota is not possible with the Supreme Court ruling. Chandrababu on the other hand has scant respect for BCs.
