*Viveka case being dragged to 2029 for political gain: Putha Siva Shankar*

Tadepalli, Oct 7: YSRCP state spokesperson Putha Siva Shankar accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of using the Vivekananda Reddy murder case for political gain and alleged that efforts were being made to prolong it until the 2029 elections.

Speaking to the media at the party’s central office, Siva Shankar questioned why Viveka’s daughter, Sunitha, met Chandrababu soon after MP YS Avinash Reddy received an Enforcement Directorate notice. He alleged that the meeting exposed a political understanding aimed at targeting YSRCP and influencing investigative agencies.

He also questioned why Sunitha had not sought cancellation of bail for Dastagiri and Sunil, whom he described as accused in the case. He said Dastagiri had visited the TDP office and alleged that Sunil had given interviews discussing a political entry. Siva Shankar also questioned reports that Siddharth Luthra, who represents Chandrababu, had appeared for Sunitha.

He alleged that repeated petitions in the High Court and Supreme Court were delaying the trial. He said the trial should proceed so the evidence can be tested in court. He also referred to reports that Sunitha’s relatives had been promised a Zilla Parishad chairperson post and alleged that the case was being used to gain political advantage in the forthcoming local elections.
