Press Release
Palamaneru, Dec 5, 2012: YSR Congress party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma has said that people are wondering whether a Government exists at all in the state.
Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Palamaneru in Chittor district on Wednesday wherein the TDP MLA Amarnath Reddy has joined the YSR Congress, Smt. Vijayamma came down heavily on both Congress and TDP in equal proportions.
Lambasting the Government for not caring for the problems of the farmers, Smt. Vijayamma said that farmers in the state were being left high and dry with administration not coming forward to solve their problems.
“During the regime of Dr. YSR, farmers were always happy with the free power supply scheme and waiver of interest on crop loans but now the Government has no time to think of their problems. There is no one in the Government to think of the people’s issues,” she said, wondering whether any government has existed in the state.
Smt. Vijayamma said TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who has joined hands with Congress and sent the YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail on cooked up charges, has been claiming himself to be Mr. Clean. “Which court has given you Mr. Clean certificate and which court has said Jagan Mohan Reddy is a culprit?” Smt. Vijayamma questioned Naidu.
Amarnath Reddy said he has come out of the TDP as he couldn’t bear the politics of conspiracy and joined the YSR Congress party
Despite the threat of a heavy rain, tens of thousands of people turned up to listen to Smt. Vijayamma. Party leaders YV Subba Reddy and Roja, MLAs Srikanth Reddy, Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and others also attended the public meeting.
