Rajahmundry, May 7: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for neglecting farmers who are being pushed into distress.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, former MP Margani Bharath said the government failed to provide input subsidy for the past two years.
He demanded that the government clear the Rs 52,000 crore due to farmers and said that the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme is not being implemented as promised before the polls.
Housing for the poor remains a mirage as the 2–3 cents of land promised to them has not been honoured.
TIDCO houses lack basic facilities, yet EMIs are being collected from beneficiaries. Though house sites were given to 25,000 beneficiaries, the scheme is not being taken forward.
The mock drill for Pushkarams seems to be a publicity stunt, and we demand a white paper on the allotment of works for Pushkarams.
An all-party meeting should be convened on the conduct of Pushkarams, he said.
