2012: Sharmila, who is doing Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on behalf of YSR
Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, will enter Telangana area on Nov
22.
YSRCP Central Governing
Council (CGC) member Baji Reddy Govardhan told media persons here on Friday
that Sharmila will enter Pulluru in Alampur constituency of Mahabubnagar
district to begin her Padayatra in Telangana. She will walk through several
constituencies of Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and Khammam districts in
Telangana.
Govardhan said Sharmila
will undertake Padayatra in Guntur and Krishna districts after completing her
schedule in Nalgonda district and then enter into Khammam district.
Explaining about the
arrangements being made to make her Padayatra successful in Telangana
districts, Govardhan said the party has appointed in-charges in all
constituencies which would be covered by Sharmila’s Padayatra.
She will meet farmers,
students, women of self help groups and others and try to know their problems
throughout her walkathon in Telangana, he said, adding Sharmila will also visit
the incomplete irrigation projects.
Govardhan said village
and Mandal level leaders of YSRCP in Mahabubnagar district held a meeting at
Mahabubnagar on Thursday and discussed the steps to be taken during the
Padayatra in the district. A similar meeting was held at the party office here
today for all the Telangana area, he said.
