Bail plea: YSRCP flays CBI

Press Release

Hyderabad, January 4: Taking strong objection to the functioning of CBI, YSR Congress has said that the investigation agency has been willfully giving trivial reasons in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy case to prolong the bail petition hearing.

“CBI telling the court that its lawyer is not available and seeking for adjournment of Jagan’s bail petition gives rise to many doubts on its functioning style,” party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Friday.

We believe in courts and legal system of the country but CBI is trying to take the case very personal giving lame excuses for not allowing the bail petition to come up for hearing by some reason or the other, she said.

CBI has always been selective in its investigation and has been adopting double standards in its investigation, she said, and vested interests are conspiring to keep Jagan away from people as far as possible.

“But justice will prevail and we believe in it,” she said adding that the party has been telling from the beginning that CBI has been a party to a larger conspiracy and playing its part, be it in the form of selective leaks or trying to prolong the remand of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The investigation agency has been taking the case too personally and showing enthusiasm more than what is actually deserving. Still it is not been able to tell when the investigation will be completed and has been trying to stall or delay the bail plea of YS Jagan,  she said

Congress and TDP have been using CBI as a tool and investigation process is taking curious turns and at times they are beyond reasonable comprehension, she said.YS Jagan mohan Reddy was arrested CBI has been contending that he would influence witnesses, but the ministers and bureaucrats in the 26 GOs case are being shielded.
