*YSRCP SC Cell reviews DSC protest plans and attacks on Dalits*

Tadepalli, Sept 19: The YSRCP SC Cell held an emergency meeting with Zone–3 leaders at the party’s central office in Tadepalli. State SC Cell President and former MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu chaired the meeting attended by leaders from NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla districts.

The meeting discussed the SC Cell’s action plan for the party’s September 21 protest outside the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh office in Vijayawada against alleged irregularities in DSC–2025 recruitment. Leaders decided to coordinate the participation of party functionaries and workers from all five districts. They also reviewed the distribution of responsibilities among zonal and state office-bearers, spokespersons and Assembly constituency SC Cell presidents.

The leaders conducted a district-wise review of reported attacks and harassment against Dalits and Dalit leaders since 2024. They discussed measures to support the victims and the party’s response to such incidents. Preparations for the proposed state executive meeting were also reviewed. Sudhakar Babu directed leaders to remain accessible to the public and raise Dalit issues effectively. MLC Lella Appi Reddy, Working President Kommuri Kanaka Rao and other senior leaders attended.
