YSR's Dream Fulfilled

Rayachoty: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA G Srikanth Reddy said the former Chief minister Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy's dream has been fulfilled as the  Srinivasapuram reservoir taken up by YSR  at Chinnamandem in YSR Kadapa district was filled with rain water.  

Srikanth Reddy accompanied by local leaders Devanatha Reddy, Kancham Reddy and Venkataramana visited the reservoir. They said the reservoir was filled with rain water even before the release of water from Handri-Neeva project.  Jhurikona and Veligallu projects,  conceived by YSR, also received good inflows this Monsoon season. 

These projects were taken up to provide irrigation facility and rescue distressed farmers. 

The YSR Congress senior leader demanded the TDP government to install gates to stop the wastage of water from reservoir. The Rayachoty MLA also demanded to complete all the pending works and extend rehabilitation package to all the displaced families.  

He pointed out that  Chandrababu made the promise of completion of Handri Neeva project by 2016 but failed to deliver.  The YSR Congress MLA demanded to complete the project at least by March 2018.
