Hyderabad, Sept 12: YSR Congress has announced its solidarity to the AP Industries’ JAC which has launched a state wide agitation seeking uninterrupted power supply to the industries in the state from today.
In a press release issued in Hyderabad, the party has also announced its support to the proposed relay hunger strikes being undertaken by the JAC with the active support of the industrialists and workers at Indira Park.
VLN Reddy, convener of the YSRCP’s Rural Industrial Promotion and Employment Generation wing, has called upon the party rank and file to participate in the agitation across the state in support of the Industries’ JAC demand.
Mr Reddy asked the Government to pay its long pending dues to the APTRANSCO enabling it to buy power from other states. Finding fault with the Government for its failure to come to the rescue of the APTRANSCO, Reddy said the Government’s inaction has pushed the industrial sector into a severe crisis and lakhs of workers and employees have lost their jobs because of the closure of the industries.
Pointing out that power crisis even existed during the YSR regime, Reddy said YSR acted with a vision and averted a power crisis in the state to help the industrial sector. “We ask the Government to come to the rescue of industrial sector immediately,” he demanded.
