YSRCP tenders apology for unruly assembly

Hyderabad, Sept 22, 2012: YSR Congress today apologized to the people for the inability of the assembly to take up public issues of importance during its just ended 5-day monsoon session.

“The assembly could not discuss the burning issues even for five minutes. This is an unfortunate thing and we apologize for the same,” party MLAs Srinivasulu and Bhumana Karunakara Reddy told media persons here after the House has been adjourned sine die.

They alleged the Government has connived with the opposition party to stall useful discussion on important issues in the assembly.
“The Government has stalled discussion on chronic problems such as power crisis with the active connivance of other parties,” they said, adding that Speaker Nadendla Manohar has favoured the Government.

It is high time people judged the behavior of the Government and the opposition, they observed.
