YSRCP ridicules Naidu’s tall claims
04 Oct 2013 6:31 AM
Hyderabad,
Oct 4, 2013: Brushing aside the tall claims of N Chandrababu Naidu that the state had
witnessed development during his governance and Narender Modi is emulating his
model in Gujarat, YSR Congress has said that back home TDP has been totally
rejected as people were fed up with his policy decisions.
“Naidu’s
claims that he has introduced cell phones in the country and there was surplus
power during his term are totally far from truth. People’s memory is not short
and they remember how the power tariff was increased manifold and the
methodology he adopted to collect power charges using force,” YSR Congress
Party leader DA Somayajulu told reporters here on Wednesday.
His
claim that cell phones were introduced by him is absolutely wrong as the
decision was taken by the PV Narasimha Rao government and the concept of
service providers was introduced when Sukhram was minister for
telecommunication.
NDA,
which had the support of TDP, has turned the service provider’s model into a
profit sharing module and call rates during that period were too high, he said.
On power
sector, Naidu boasting that there was surplus power in the state is a fallacy.
If the rates are steeply increased surplus could be the obvious result and
TDP’s power policy has been faulty and was not in favour of common man, he
said.
During
the ten year TDP rule there was a revenue deficit of Rs 22,000 crores despite
the hike in power, bus charges and imposing fresh taxes which shows the ability
of Chandrababu Naidu governance. “If this man boasts at a far-flung Delhi that
Andhra Pradesh was best under his stewardship and Modi was following the same
now in Gujarat, it is nothing short of absurd.”
In a
separate press conference senior leader Dr MV Mysoora Reddy flayed Chandababau
Naidu for his comments on bail to Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“The
bail has come in the natural process and with the Supreme Court setting the
deadline to complete the investigation. When CBI hoodwinked the normal
procedure of allowing bail after the mandatory 90 days the Naidu did not
respond.
When the
bail was given after the formality of completing the investigation was over, he
started speaking leveling baseless accusations that there was deal for bail. It
is unbecoming of a former chief minister and leader of opposition for him to
speak in such cheap way.
While
the case is still pending in the court, comments become subjudice and he must be aware of it.
If CBI
Director meets Digvijay Singh it is for them to tell what transpired between
them and it is ridiculous on part of Naidu to attribute motives and bring in
our Party President into the picture. “If he tries to implicate everything
happening in Delhi to our leader, it is evident that he has Jagan phobia,” he
said.
Naidu
has also been mixing up cases while commenting and he was reacting to a legal
procedure in Vanpic case as if it was Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case.
Meanwhile,
Party SC cell convenor Nalla Suryaprakash flayed Krishna Madiga for his remarks
against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
There is
no truth in the allegation that Jagan is bird in Congress cage but Krishna
Madiga has been speaking His Master’s Voice. He has been speaking what Naidu
asks him to speak.
Dalit welfare has been a
priority to YSR and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is following the same path while the
TDP leader is known for changing tunes. The context, time and situation in which
Dr BR Ambedkar has said that smaller states would be good for administration
should be fully understood, he said
