19 Dec 2017 10:00 PM

New Delhi: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) urged the central government is disest from disinvesting in Dredging Corporation of India (DCI).
Raising the issue at Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy said that DCI is making profits and disinvesting will have a negative impact on it.
"Privatisation will create havoc in the dredging sector and scores of workers will be rendered unemployed," he cautioned the government.
He called on the Shipping Ministry to rethink on its decision for disinvestment and privatisation of the profit-making Corporation.
