YSRCP To Meet Governor On Demonetization
17 Dec 2016 6:14 PM

Hyderabad, Dec 17: Demonetisation has put common man under serious duress and if the situation continues even after this month end, YSR Congress has said that it would chalk out an action plan and will take up the people’s cause besides meeting the Governor on the issue.
‘We have sought the appointment of Governor and delegation led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy along party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders would meet him to apprise him of the situation as a constructive opposition party,’ official spokesperson Tammineni Sitaram told reporters here on Saturday.
While accepting the Prime Minister’s assurance that the situation would improve after December 30, we will be taking up the people’s cause after the due date if the situation does not improve.
Demonetisation has put people to great suffering with health, farming and other core sectors getting badly affected. Such a major decision was taken
unilaterally without taking Opposition parties and Parliament into confidence but looks like it was announced in a hurry.
‘The secrecy is to take the cash hoarders by surprise but the government has no account of who or how many people are there holding unaccounted money. While the government has announce that only Rs 2.5 lakh would be allowed to be drawn for marriages, we have seen BJP leaders performing the marriage of their kin on a grand scale. Many people have postponed the marriages due to demonetisation,’ he said.
The data of how much cash has come to Andhra Pradesh and how was it distributed should be made public as the ruling TDP members were never seen for want of cash, he said.
