Hyderabad: Taking strong objection to the biased reporting in ABN Andhra Jyothi and for spreading false rumours of YSRCP candidate withdrawing from the MLC local body polls in Kurnool and Ongole districts, YSRCP on Monday submitted a petition to the State Election Commissioner.
The party, in a memorandum submitted by MLC and party general secretary Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, demanded that action be taken against the TV channel. He said the biased campaign was meant to influence the voters. He said there was no question of YSRCP announcing the withdrawal of the candidates. Yet, the channel was broadcasting false news about their withdrawal. He demanded action against the biased broadcasts.
