YS Jagan said it was deeply distressing that a group of eight people from Gommukothagudem village had entered the Godavari River to catch fish when the floodwaters rose suddenly, claiming the lives of five members of the group. He described the loss of three women and two men in the incident as heartbreaking and conveyed his sorrow to the bereaved families.
