YSRCP To Boycott Assembly To save Democracy

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy has said party President YS Jagan Mohan has decided to boycott the ensuing monsoon session of Andhra Assembly to save democracy.  The party has been fighting against the induction of YSR Congress MLAs, who joined  TDP, in the Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet.

The Rayachoty MLA said the parliamentary democracy was at stake as Chandrababu was encouraging defections in the opposition parties.  After consulting the party MLAs and senior leaders, YS Jagan took the decision to not to attend the entire assembly session this year.

Srikanth Reddy said YS Jagan also brought  to the notice of President, Prime Minister and Governor about the TDP Chief's cheap politics of poaching the opposition leaders and legislators.  All the MLAs in the YSRCLP meeting also also felt Chandrababu government was throttling the voice of  opposition.

The YSR Congress leader alleged the TDP government also conspired to create problems to YS Jagan's Praja sankalpa Yatra to be launched soon in Andhra Pradesh.  Chandrababu and AICC President Sonia Gandhi already foisted cases against YS Jagan fearing the YSR Congress leader will emerge strong leader in the future.
