YS Jagan directs party cadre to help cyclone victims

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party chief and opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the YSRCP leaders and party workers to extend support to the people in Cyclone Vardah affected areas in Andhra Pradesh. 

YSRCP party cadre already reached Prakasam and Nellore districts to help in rescue operations. Cyclonic storm Vardah, now a severe cyclonic storm, is crossing north of Chennai. It is likely to cross completely by 6 pm on Monday.

The landfall will be accompanied by strong winds at the speed of 80 to 90 kmph and heavy to very heavy rainfall, an IMD release said.
