YS Jagan demands CBI enquiry into Yerpedu mishap

YSR Congress Party president and the Opposition leader in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reedy expressed apprehension of a conspiracy behind the Yerpedu road accident in which 17 people were died and demanded CBI probe into the incident. 

The Opposition leader on Sunday visited Munaganepalli in Chittoor district to console Yerpedu road accident victims. 

Speaking to the media persons, YS Jagan said that it seems to be a ‘pre-planned massacre’ by sand mafia. He alleged that the sand mafia is doing illegal sand mining unabated in Srikalahasthi assembly segment, with the patronage of the ruling party leaders and added that the TDP leaders have allegedly siphoned off Rs. 200 crores through illegal sand mining. He said that the father and the son duo might have a share in the looting. 

Stating that TDP leaders Dhanunjaya Naidu and Chiranjeevi  Naidu hand in sand mafia, the Opposition leader pointed why the government had not initiated any action against them despite numerous complaints field with revenue and police against Naidu duo.  
Citing circumstantial evidence and the public, particularly the victim’s family member’s apprehensions, the Opposition leader said the accident seems to be a well planned ‘massacre’ of innocent people. He demanded CBI enquiry into the incident.
