Vijayamma releases Praja Ballot

Hyderabad, April 5, 2013: As part of the
agitation against the hike in power charges, YSRCP Honorary President YS
Vijayamma today released the praja ballot which will vouch for the way in which
the State government is handling the issue.
Releasing the praja ballot (People’s
ballot), aimed at eliciting public opinion on the move of the State government,
she said that the steep hike in power charges is affecting all sections of
people.
The praja ballot is a simple
document in form of a questionnaire which needs to be answered by consumers and
stands a testimony to their feelings. The ballot will ask simple questions like
are you satisfied with the hike in power charges and do you think this hike is
necessary. The answers need to be given in simple yes or no.
The praja ballot will be conducted
in all the mandal and constituency headquarters. The collection of the data
which began today will go on till April 14 (Dr BR Ambedkar’s birthday). The
ballot will reflect the public opinion on the hike in power charges and the
FSA. Besides praja ballot the party will also take part in the April 9 state
wide dharna.

anniversary of freedom fighter and former deputy Prime Minister Babu
Jagjivanram was celebrated by YSR Congress Party here today. After paying
floral tributes to leader of the masses, Party honorary president YS Vijayamma
said that Babuji has worked for the uplift of downtrodden and described him as
a leader of the masses. He always stood for the cause of dalits and has won
their hearts, she said.
