06 Mar 2013 3:26 PM

Hyderabad, March
6, 2013: YSR Congress Party honorary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma has
condoled the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez saying a welfare chapter
has ended in world history with his death.
In a statement
issued in Hyderabad on Wednesday, she said, at a time when capitalism became a
challenge to the world, Chavez had proved in his 14-year rule that Government
policies should be guided by people’s welfare, development of the poor and
socialism.
“The passing
away of Chavez has left a vacuum in the international arena,” Smt. Vijayamma
said, adding that Chavez provided inspiration to several protagonists of
welfare polices around the world besides drawing appreciation of Fidel Castro.
