Vijayamma seeks decisive mandate

Penuganchiprolu (Krishna
dist), April 14, 2014: YSR Congress Honorary President YS Vijayamma has appealed to
the voters to give a decisive mandate to the Party to enable it to have a say
in the Centre and get grants for developing the state and continue the welfare
schemes along with development works.

Addressing a road show here
on Monday, she said: “Jagan has made it clear in the manifesto and listed out
the welfare schemes and the development activities that his government will
take up. I appeal to all of you to vote for YSRCP fan symbol and place the
reins of the state in the hands of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who will deliver the
goods.”

You have to elect a good
leader who is committed and translates his promises into deeds and usher in YSR
golden era. He will continue all the YSR welfare schemes and improvise them. He
has promised to launch Amma Vadi which will take care for the education of two
children per family by directly depositing Rs 1,000 per month. The amount would
be increased to Rs 700 when the child reaches undergraduate course and will be
hiked to Rs 1,000 per child on reaching graduation.

Increasing old age pension
to Rs 700, setting up of a Market Stabilisation Fund to insulate farmers from
market fluctuations, waiver of DWACRA loans, taking the governance to the
doorsteps of villages, besides providing quality power for 7 hours in day time
and building 50 lakh houses for the poor in five years are some of the welfare
measures Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government would take up, she said.

The Party, when voted to
power, will build super-specialty hospital in every district, provide 150 units
for Rs 100 and there will be no power cuts by 2019. In the meantime,
infrastructure will be developed in the form of sea ports, airports, rail-road
linkages to other cities, she said.

To have a good bargain, we
need to have the numbers and win 30 MP seats to mount pressure on the Centre,
she said asked to cadre to bury differences and work as one unit. She also
listed out the welfare schemes YSR has implemented which will be continued and
improvised.

Warning that N Chandrababu
Naidu, Kiran Kumar Reddy and Chiranjeevi would also come seeking votes, she
asked the people to be judicious and compare the YSR term with his preceding
and succeeding governments. Earlier, she paid rich tributes to BR Ambedkar on
his birth anniversary.
