Unique protest by YSRC MLAs

Hyderabad,
Sept 17: Expressing their protest against the scheduled and unscheduled power
cuts and the government’s failure to solve the power crisis in the state, YSR
Congress MLAs attended the first day of the 5-day monsoon session of the
assembly today by bullock carts.

The
MLAs, led by party honourary president Smt. Y.S.Vijayamma, arrived at the
assembly premises by bullock carts. “This is our protest against the
Government’s failure to solve the power crisis,” declared Vijayamma on the
occasion.

While
the YSR Congress MLAs’ unique protest attracted the attention of the onlookers,
party leaders also succeeded in grabbing the public attention by arriving at
the assembly premises by cycle rickshaws and preparing food on the roadsides.

The
MLAs of other parties also expressed their protest against the Government’s
failure on the power front. TDP MLAs conducted padayatra to the assembly while
the CPI and CPM MLAs reached the assembly by pedaling their cycles.
