TDP Lures Voters with 'Cash For Vote' in Nandyal
21 Aug 2017 4:24 PM

Nandyal: The ruling TDP had adopted ' Cash for Vote' formula to lure the voters in the by-election to Nandyal Assembly constituency. The party leaders were distributing money not less than Rs 2,000 to the voters . Though the leaders were caught with money, police did not register any cases against them, YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said.
He alleged that the TDP leaders were misusing power by distributing money to the people in the constituency. Whereas, cases were registered against YSR Congress leaders without any reasons, he said.
The YSR Congress leader took strong exception to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's comment against party candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy. During Silpa's stay in the TDP, Naidu praised him as good leader. After quitting the party, Naidu called Silpa a factionist, he added.
