Speaker rejectes adjournment motions

Hyderabad,
Sept 21, 2012: Speaker Nadendla Manohar, for the fourth day today, has rejected
the adjournment motion of the YSR Congress Party in the assembly. The party
served a notice for adjournment on the issue of the scarcity of drinking and
irrigation water in the state.
The
party MLAs in the last three days had also served notices for adjourment of the
House on various issues such as power crisis, diesel price hike , fee
reimbursement and farmers' problems.
Manohar
rejected other adjournment motions submitted by TDP, TRS, BJP, MIM, CPI and CPM
on the issues of fee reimbursement, Telangana resolution, local body elections,
power crisis, and tribal problems.
Ever
since the monsoon session of the assembly began four days ago, the Speaker has
been continuously rejecting the adjournment notices served by opposition
parties on various issues plaguing the state.
