Anantapuram, Oct 27,
2012: YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila has
fever today and curtailed her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra to 6 km from the
originally scheduled 13.8 km.
After finding that
Sharmila has developed fever, doctors advised her to take rest for the day but
she has decided to walk for a distance of 6 km. Meanwhile, Sharmila’s Maro
Praja Prasthanam has entered tenth day today.
Sharmila began her today’s
Padayatra from Gollapally Cross and will walk through the villages of Garumdam
Palle Cross and Vasanthapuram Cross where she will retire for the day. After
beginning her Padayatra today, Sharmila inspected some groundnut crop fields at
Badangapalle and interacted with farmers.
The farmers told her
they used to get input subsidy and the facility of crop insurance during the
YSR regime whereas now they are getting neither of them.
As per the original schedule,
she is supposed to walk through the villages of Chigicharla, Uppunesinapally
Cross and Hansapuram also which will be covered later.
Sharmila completed her
walkathon up to 130.9 km at the end of Friday.
