Rs 5 lakh award to Discus throw gold medalist

Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party chief and Leader of the Opposition in AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday honoured Discus throw gold medalist, Veerla Mahesh by offering him a cash award of Rs 5 lakhs.
The YSRCP chief also promised a government job to Veerla Mahesh after coming to the power. Mahesh, who won gold medal in Student Olympics, belongs to Kuderu village of Pamidimukkala mandal of Krishna district. He is studying engineering in Andhra engineering college in Narsapuram.
"Wishing Student Olympics Discus throw gold medalist, Veerla Mahesh, many more such victories and a bright future," YS Jagan tweeted.
