Rehman denies reports of leaving YSRCP

Hyderabad, May 2, 2013:
Denying reports telecast by some vernacular news channels on Thursday that he
has been leaving the party with dissatisfaction, YSR Congress party Minorities
Cell convener HA Rehman said he would stand by the party and the party chief
Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy till his last breath.
Addressing media
persons at the party headquarters soon after two local channels scrolled out
the news that he was dissatisfied as the party leadership has not appointed any
minority leader as the district party convener so far and has been planning to
leave the party, Rehman said there was no truth in his being unhappy and
dissatisfied.
“Since I am unwell, I
have kept away from the party activities for the last few days. I am very much
confident that Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy only can do justice to the Muslim minorities,”
he said, asserting that he would remain with the YSRCP and stand by the party
chief till his last breath.
Calling the two local channels as yellow media,
Rehman lashed out at them for carrying mala fide propaganda against him.
“I request you to stop this malicious propaganda and
differentiate between news and views,” he said and asked the channels to stop
such scrolling.
Rehman said Muslims too would be happy if all other
sections of society are happy. “YSRCP is a disciplined party. If I have any
grievance, I will speak myself and I ask you not to speculate and put out
scrolling,” an angry Rehman told the channels.
