Provide Irrigation Water To Farmers

Macharla: MLA of Macharla, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy suggested that the Government had to take action to continue to release irrigation water in order to save the crops of the farmers belonging to Nagarjuna Sagar's right canal area. He stated about the farmers' agony about the crops not yielding good results since two years due to scarcity of irrigation water in the right canal. As the current situation favoured full extent of filling of Srisailam project, there was possibility of inflow for Sagar reservoir, he said. To come to the aid of farmers suffering from irrigation water scarcity, he demanded speaking to Krishna Board officials and providing water to right canal area farmers.
