Poor response to TDP Maha Dharna

Vijayawada, August 25, 2012: TDP has received poor response from farmers for its Rytu Maha Dharna at the Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada today.

The party leadership called for Maha Dharna protesting against the Government’s apathy in releasing water to the 13 lakh acres under the ayacut in the Krishna delta. The lack of proper response for the program makes it clear that the farmers have no confidence in the TDP’s proclaimed love for them.

The TDP organized the Maha Dharna with the active support of the CPI.

It may be recalled that the party received similar response from the farmers to the demonstration held by the TDP president Chandrababu Naidu on Prakasam barrage in 2010 on the issue of Krishna waters.
