Palvai seeks round table meet on Polavaram
25 Aug 2012 4:33 AM

Hyderabad, August 25, 2012: Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader Palvai Govarndhan Reddy today demanded the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to convene a round table conference on the Polavarm Project immediately.
Addressing a media conference here today, Govardhan Reddy said that the present design of the Polavaram Project is not feasible and the dam can’t be constructed with the existing design.
Remarking that the environmental clearances have been withdrawn to the Polavaram Project, Govardhan Reddy disclosed that he would enlist the support of the party MPs to put pressure on the Centre to seek cancellation of other licenses given for the project.
“The government is being misled by the engineers and officials,” he said.
