*Revoke suspension of teachers immediately: Chandrasekhar Reddy*

Tadepalli, August 16: YSRCP has demanded to revoke the suspension of teachers and pass a resolution in the Assembly exempting in-service teachers from clearing TET and send it to the Centre for further action.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, Party Employees’ Wing State President N. Chandrasekhar Reddy condemned the suspension of four teachers who approached the Union Government seeking TET exemption for in-service teachers, and demanded that the orders be withdrawn immediately.
He said TET had become an excessive burden on serving teachers and questioned why the Chandrababu Naidu government was refusing to move a resolution in the Assembly seeking exemption. 
He demanded that the State pass a resolution in the Assembly and pursue it with the Centre. 
“Is meeting a Union Minister to raise teachers’ problems a crime? Is seeking TET exemption an offence?” he asked.
Chandrasekhar Reddy said all four suspended teachers were representatives of employee associations and had approached the Centre only to seek resolution of their members’ problems. Suspending them without even seeking an explanation, and linking their visit to complaints over DSC, was completely unjustified.
He said the government had failed to implement its promises to employees and was now attempting to intimidate those who questioned it.
“Employees will not be frightened by such actions. The government must revoke the suspensions immediately and pass an Assembly resolution on TET exemption in the coming session,” he demanded.
