Hyderabad, Sept 5, 2012: Even as the stand-off between the striking junior doctors and Government continued with no solution in sight, the state wide strike by the junior doctors entered the third day today.
Hundreds of patients had to go without medicare in government hospitals in many districts. The doctors have decided to boycott even emergency services from this morning leading to tension at several hospitals.
The situation has reached a flashpoint at the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad which is visited by hundreds of patients daily. The patients are seen arguing with striking doctors with the latter bluntly refusing to attend even emergency services.
With the talks between the junior doctors and Government ending in failure, the government is said to be toying with the idea of approaching the High Court.
