Naidu’s dual standards exposed:YSRCP

 Taking
strong objection to N Chandrababu Naidu’s remark attributing fledgling
qualities to YSRCP, the Party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma has said, padayatra
is routine duty of any leader and it need not be dubbed as a sacrifice.

“YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy was with the people for over two years as he felt it was his
bounded duty to be with the people. Chandrababu Naidu trying to project his
padayatra as a big sacrifice is ridiculous and speaking light of our Party
painting a fledgling colour will bounce back as YSRCP has won a thumping
mandate in the recent by-polls,” she told media at the party central office in
Hyderabad on Wednesday.

 When
there were serious issues to raise and there was an opportunity and a platform
to question the State Government, Chandrababu Naidu opted to be silent during
the Assembly session, and now began his padayatra.

This
shows that the TDP leader’s double standards as he adopted a “Save Congress”
stand when it mattered most and resolutely said that he will not topple the
State Government and now he undertakes padayatra for his political mileage and
not for addressing people’s issues as he miserably failed when the opportunity
was available on many earlier occasions.

 Trying
to project YSRCP as a kid Congress will have no takers as TDP lost all the
by-elections and the voting percentage of Congress and TDP put together was
less than what YSRCP polled, she said adding that the sanctity of padayatra is
being misused by giving a colour of sacrifice. “Unlike the opportunism of
Chandrababu Naidu, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was always with the people after the
started the Party.”

 Chandrababu
Naidu’s tone may have many accents, but we have strongly refuted the reports of
the possibility of any merger and it is TDP which has had a tie-up with
Congress and it was in the open on many occasions, she said.

 She
also slammed Congress government for diluting the fees reimbursement scheme.
“The fact that only 474 students were eligible for fees reimbursement of 10,000
potential candidates shows that the Government wants to shelve the scheme,’ she
said adding that in the coming days the cost of LPG cylinder would cross Rs
1,000 and the State government has not yielded to the High Command’s order of
increasing the number of cylinders from six to nine.

The
Kiran Kumar Reddy governance is matching strides with the nine-year Chandrababu
Naidu-led anti-people rule and both are bound to be rejected by the people, she
added.
