Hyderabad, Sept 4, 2012: In the wake of High Court orders to the government to conduct ZPTC and MPTC elections within three months, BC welfare association resident R. Krishnaiah demanded the government to conduct the local body elections based on the 2011 census.
“The local body elections must be conducted based on 2011 census or else we will not allow the government to conduct the elections,” Krishnaiah told media persons here today.
Krishnaiah said the BCs have not been getting reservations in proportion to their population and BCs would be at a loss if the elections are conducted based on 2001 census.
The High Court ordered the Government to conduct the elections based on 2001 census if the latest census are not available.
