Hyderabad, August 25, 2012: In a political decision aimed at recapturing the vote bank of SCs and STs, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said today the government is determined to ensure full utilization of the funds allotted under the SC and ST sub plan.
Addressing a media conference here today after returning from Delhi, Kiran Kumar said the government would take concrete steps to ensure that there won’t be any diversion of SC and ST sub plan funds henceforth.
Earlier, the cabinet sub-committee on the SC, ST sub plan met Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office and submitted an interim report suggesting ways to make full utilization of the sub plan funds allotted by the Government.
A whopping amount to the tune of Rs.2000 Cr has been reportedly lying unutilized in the sub-plan funds, according to reports.
