Vizianagaram: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that the Kapu Corporation would get an annual budget of Rs.2,000 crores. This was stated by YSR Congress Kadapa district members Dasari Siva Prasad and Sheik Affan Basha, who said that the YSRCP chief enjoyed widespread support of all segments of society and that he would be elected chief minister by the people of the state.
While YS Jagan's mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra was passing through Mucherla village the local villagers extended their support by holding placards in support of the people's leader. Villagers also exposed the Andhra Pradesh chief minister's false claims on Kapu Corporation. They complained that Chandrababu Naidu had announced that Rs 1 thousand crores was being given to the Kapu Corporation every year, but has only allocated 360 crores in his 4 years' reign.
During the padayatra’s tour of East Godavari many of them had expressed their problems to YS Jagan and he agreed to their appeal to allocate Rs 2,000 crores every year to the corporation. They also appealed to him to to add Kapu,Balija and Ontari communities to schedule 9. "In the upcoming elections, we shall work hard as soldiers and make YS Jagan the CM of Andhra Pradesh," they said.
