Garidepalli (Huzoornagar): TYSRCP president, Dr. Gattu Srikanth Reddy, insisted that Diwakar Travels should be banned in Telangana and the management responsible for the recent road accident in Krishna district of AP should be arrested and punished.
He visited the residence of Dr.Sekhar Reddy and Krishna Reddy, brothers who passed away in the road accident, in Kodandarampuram village of Garidepalli mandal in Suryapeta district on Wednesday and viewed the bodies to pay tribute to them. He condoled with their bereaved parents Seshireddy and Kamalamma.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, he blamed the negligence of the travels company's management and the driver for the accident killing 11 people. Gattu demanded that Diwakar travels should take the responsibility of the accident and pay a compensation of Rs.25 lakh to each of the deceased. He also slammed hindering the leader of opposition in AP, YS Jagan, as he went to condole with bereaved families and comfort the injured and called it a shameful act.
He expressed discontent towards the Government of AP for announcing ex gratia only to those holding Chandranna bhima scheme. He demanded that the Government of Telangana should respond and pay a compensation of Rs.20 lakh to each of the bereaved families.
He was accompanied by YSRCP's state secretaies Vemula Sekhar Reddy, Dontireddy Saidireddy, district general secretary Kottha Ramakrishna Reddy, Chittaluri Somaiah Goud and others.
