Guntur, Aug 3, 2014:
During his 2-day tour of the Guntur district, YSR Congress Party president Sri
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy held review meetings with party in-charges in various
assembly constituencies and exhorted them to be with the people always and take
up their issues on a regular basis.
He asked the party
cadres and people to question CM Chandrababu Naidu on his failure to implement
TDP’s poll promises.
“Farmers and DWAKRA
women are in distress. Banks are taking away the savings of DWAKRA women from
their accounts. Farmers believed the assurances of Chandrababu and thought
their loans would be waived. But nothing has been done to them so far in this
regard. They are in distress,” he said, addressing the party leaders and
activists in his review meetings.
“You must continue to
highlight the failures of Chandrababu Naidu and question him over the suffering
people are being subjected to,” Jagan Mohan Reddy told them.
Reviews
party affairs in 19 contituencies
He met party leaders of
16 assembly constituencies of Guntur district and 3 constituencies of WG
district during the two-day reviews session.
Activists of some
constituencies complained to Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy that they were being
subjected to attacks by the TDP cadres frequently and were unable to defend
them. They also complained about some leaders who had backstabbed the party.
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
assured them that the party leadership would stand by the cadres and all top
leaders of the party in the district would come to their rescue during attacks.
Condemning the attacks
on party leaders and cadres by the TDP activists with the support of the
officials across the state, Jagan Mohan Reddy exhorted them to be united and
counter the attacks. “Demonic rule has come back to AP. You should be united to
thwart the attacks of TDP men.”
