*Naidu, Lokesh must answer on scams: YSRCP*

Tadepalli, Sept 9: YSRCP spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of being “number one in scams” and alleged that his son and Minister Nara Lokesh was following the same path. He said the government was avoiding questions on alleged irregularities from the Skill Development case to the DSC recruitment controversy.

Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office, Narendra criticised the TDP for holding candle rallies to mark three years since Naidu’s arrest in the Skill Development case. He asked Naidu to explain how the Rs 371 crore released for the Rs 3,300-crore Skill Development project was spent and how nearly Rs 243 crore allegedly reached Skillar without the required investment from the private partner.

Narendra also sought an explanation for the Enforcement Directorate’s attachment of assets worth Rs 54.74 crore, including Rs 31.2 crore in fixed deposits linked to DesignTech and another Rs 23.54 crore in assets. He questioned the alleged routing of funds through shell companies, bogus invoices and entry operators. He also asked why Rs 27 crore allegedly transferred to the TDP account was later returned.

Narendra challenged Lokesh to release the letter which he claimed had given Naidu a clean chit.

He demanded that the old charge sheet and the latest final report be made public together and asked what fresh evidence led to earlier findings being treated as a “mistake of fact.”

Narendra also questioned changes in statements recorded under Section 164 and sought answers over liquor-related GOs 216 and 217, removal of privilege fees, orders to selected liquor companies and the alleged Rs 25,000-crore revenue impact.

He alleged that while Naidu had gone to jail in the Skill case, Lokesh would have to face accountability over the alleged DSC irregularities.
