Jagan Ane Nenu...

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a public meeting in 7 Road Junction in Srikakulam town .
YS Jagan said Srikakulam district has always been the No. 1 choice for seeking votes and seats for TDP. But, the district in nowhere near being No. 1 in development, he added.
For the first time, in 2004, under Dr. YSR's leadership, the Congress was voted to power in nine out of 10 seats in the district, he recalled.
In 2014, Chandrababu Naidu, after coming to power with 7 seats in the district and later on attracting an MLA from YSRCP district, left no stone unturned in the affairs of the district. The locals ask me, "What did Chandrababu do for the sake of us and for the district?"
In Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule, the Vamshadhara project works began in 2005 with a budget of Rs 930 crore. A 33 km canal was built at a cost of Rs 700 crore. Only Rs 150 crore was allotted by the previous government while Chandrababu allotted the remaining Rs 55 crore worth project works to Rithwik Projects belonging to TDP MP CM Ramesh at an increased cost of more than Rs 400 crore.
Recently, the Supreme Court gave permission for building a barrage at Neradi Barrage. But, the Chandrababu government did not grab this opportunity.
The YSRCP chief recalled that not even a medical college and a university were there in the Srikakulam district until Dr YSR sanctioned the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and the Ambedkar University.
The locals said Chandrababu ignored his promises of making Srikakulam a smart city with Rs 385 crore, under-ground drainage, Outer Ring Road, an airport, food park, school of planning and architecture, AC Indoor auditorium, tourism circuit and Kodi Rammurthy stadium.
"The State government allotted the 2 acres of land originally allotted for the poor to the TDP party office. As many as 271 government schools and 40 hostels have been closed down in the district by the TDP government," he said.
Lambasting Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring the education sector in the State, the Leader of Opposition said not even a brick had been in the Srikakulam IIIT.
YS Jagan said that during Dr YSR's regime, 130 acres were allotted for building the Rajiv Swagruha houses in Etcherla constituency. No basic amenities like roads have been provided by the subsequent governments. On the other side, Chandrababu is planning to sell flats built in the government land, at the rate of 2,000 per feet to the poor, while the builder rate is only 1,000 per feet, he added.
"Jagan Ane Nenu, promise to waive the housing loans after coming to power."
