Is it worth snatching the lands of poor farmers? YS Jagan
24 Apr 2015 3:25 PM

YS Jagan raised few questions at Vijayanagaram district tour about this land pooling.
Nearly, 15 thousands of acres of land has been pooled for the Bhogapuram airport. This action will paralyze the farmer and this action further reveals that the only aim of Government is to snatch the food of the farmer. Land pooling process is going on for constructing the airport due to that reason, farmers are tensed. He said that Chennai International Airport is built on 1,223 acres, Mumbai airport has been built on 2,000 acres and Cochin airport is built on 800 acres. Vizag airport is assumed to be not too busy. If it’s not yet sufficient, they need to search for the options available. If people are interested to go to various places, they should plan enough.
Bhogapuram is located a midst of 5 km from Bhimli. Which means it is 25 km far off form the Vizag. Land cost for one acre is 2 crores. Under the name of land pooling, if maximum amount of land is occupied, and only very less or thousand square yards of land is given seems to be irrelevant. Where can the poor farmers go? It is just to snatch the hard earned food of the farmer. Jagan mentioned that, he and his party would definitely support the farmers and localities that are against the Bhogapuram Air port. He questioned the ruling party to state what would it really fetch?
