YSR District: The Telugu Desam Party workers have created ruckus at Pulivendula. Unable to live up to MP Avinash Reddy’s challenge, they have resorted to violence. The TDP workers attacked people with stones and knives. The police have not taken any action in this regard.
Calling for a debate on developmental activities in Pulivendula constituency, the TDP leaders have initiated the spat. Strongly responding to the ruling party leaders, MP Avinash Reddy said he is ready to visit Poola Angalla circle or Vempalle Adda Road for the debate.
The police have reached the spot as the YSRCP leaders were getting ready for the debate. Alleging that the police are working in favour of the ruling party, the opposition party leaders criticized the TDP leaders saying they were not ready for the debate. Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that they have not approved permission for the debate.
Requesting the parliamentarian not to attend the debate, the police have fielded police forces in large numbers at MP Avinash Reddy's residence. In reply to the police's security concerns, the MP said he would attend the debate alone. The MP has alleged that the police are trying to house-arrest him.
