Governments saw BCs as just a vote bank

Eluru: YSR Congress party has appointed a committee to study the current position of BCs in the state and the issues to be addressed pertaining to the community.
Speaking at a meeting organised here at Sukhibhava function hall in Eluru, YSR Congress party BC cell president Janga Krishna Murthy and Eluru YSRCP parliamentary president MLC Alla Nani said “Governments in the past saw BCs as just a vote bank, now the time has come for all the BCs in the state to unite for their rights."
YSRCP BC in charge to the district, Ghanta Prasada Rao presided over the meeting. To begin with, Janga Krishna Murthy and Alla Nani garlanded the picture of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule. Many people from the community turned up at the meeting and expressed their opinions and concerns. Few of them submitted memorandums to the members. BC cell president Janga Krishan Murthy said they are doing an in-depth study on how to improve the condition of the community and how to utilize the opportunities provided to them.
