Former IAS officer Prasada Rao joins YSRCP

Hyderabad, Dec 10, 2012: Former IAS officer Velagapally Varaprasada Rao on Monday joined the YSR Congress Party.

Prasada Rao met Party honourary president Smt. Vijayamma at her Lotus Pond residence here and took the membership of the party.

Prasada Rao, who worked in several capacities in Tamil Nadu for 27 years, had opted for VRS and contested the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat as the erstwhile PRP candidate in 2009 elections. He hails from Gudivada in Krishna district.
