- YSRCP MPs ask the CM
- Meeting with CM yields no good results
- Babu's tyranny towards constituency development funds
- CM's indifference to the problems of opposition party MLAs
- YSRCP MLAs condemn the CM's behaviour
Amaravathi: Opposition YSRCP MLAs slammed the behaviour of AP CM Chandrababu, as they pleaded to be recognised as MLAs. Forty opposition party MLAs met the CM at his camp office on Friday in Vijayawada. Calling the CM's behaviour towards them tyrannical, they stated that they had received not one right response from the CM in the 12 issues they had mentioned in the meeting, including farmers' problems, demonetisation, constituency development funds and troubles in capital area. YSRCP MLAs stated to the media at the camp office in Vijayawada, how their meeting with the CM had turned out to be unfruitful.
YSRCP's senior leader, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, spoke to criticise that Chandrababu had changed a lot from the time he had worked as CM for ten years. He commented that Babu had been showing tyrannical behaviour towards the MLAs, ZPTC members and MPTC members elected democratically, by not sanctioning development funds to them. Reminding how MLAs from all political parties used to be allotted development funds under Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy's tenure unlike now, he slammed Babu's sanctioning special development funds (SDF) to the TDP leaders who had lost elections. Citing how Amarnath Reddy, the MLA who had won from YSRCP but defected the party recently to join TDP, had been sanctioned Rs.11 crore for his constituency's development and how 330 pensions had been approved in his constituency, he questioned why such funds were not being sanctioned to those constituencies represented by YSRCP. Condemning the statements that the opposition was hindering the state's development, over not sanctioning funds properly, he cautioned that people would soon teach TDP a lesson.
What development has been done in Chandragiri?
MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy informed the media that they had questioned Chandrababu what developmebt he had done to Chandragiri. As Babu had stated that TDP activists were being made to conduct developmental activities, Chevireddy had intervened, being from the same constituency as Chandrababu. But Chandrababu had given no response to him, Chevireddy mentioned to the media.
CM is not patient enough to even listen
When 40 MLAs went to visit him to reveal about the problems being faced by people in their constituencies, the CM had hardly had patience to listen to them, mentioned MLA Pinneli Ramakrishna Reddy. As he had taken it to the notice of the CM that he had personally caught people shifting rice from ration shops in a lorry and given information to the revenue officials, he had not shown any reaction, Pinnelli stated. He informed that they had reminded to the CM that ACDP funds used to be sanctioned to everyone in the past and it was still being implemented in all the states. He stated to the media that Babu's behaviour had indicated that there was no chance of sanctioning funds to opposition MLAs.
Shameful statements of Babu
MLA Uppuleti Kalpana called it a brazen statement that Chandrababu was conducting developmental activities through his people, when they had asked for development funds. Calling it against the constitution to sanction special development funds to the TDP leaders who had lost elections, she mentioned that NREGS funds were being sanctioned to the TDP leaders as patching grant to MP funds. She reminded that MLAs used to be members of Anganwadi recruitment committees and hospital development committees in the past and opined that development was lagging now as there was no more chance for that. Kalpana mentioned that TDP had not sanctioned housing plots or pakka houses to anybody after coming to power. She cautioned that people would teach Chandrababu if he did not transform himself.
