CM Ramesh rose to MP level from cheap liquor contractor

Vijayawada: Official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Amabati Rambabu today termed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh, who was under scrutiny by the IT sleuths until late Sunday, as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's No. 1 benami.

Launching a scathing attack against the leaders of the TDP, he said that they were trying to create a false propaganda on the IT raids on CM Ramesh's businesses. Why are the TDP leaders scared of IT raids? he demanded to know.

Ambati said that CM Ramesh had no moral right to criticize YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Adding that Ramesh's Rithwik Properties never carried out large-scal e projects, he mentioned that the company managed to gain some sub-contracts through illegal means. Why is it that Ramesh maintained digital lockers keeping it a secret from his family members? he asked.

The YSRCP leader further criticized CM Ramesh saying he had digital lockers because he was a benami. "Why did the TDP and BJP fall out suddenly after four years of romance? CM Ramesh rose to the level of Rajya Sabha MP from being a cheap liquor contractor. In the days to come, the people of the State will decide on the future of these leaders," he asserted.
